Mission

Our mission is to facilitate the prevention & early detection of colorectal (CRC) and anal cancers through ‘cheeky’ tactics. We are a queer-led organization, with a focus on the young and LGBTQ+ populations.

Cheeky Charity is committed to:

  • Educating about CRC symptoms

  • Encouraging folks who have insurance to get screened early

  • Advocating for people without insurance and those at risk

  • Funding research that promises earlier detection and reduces the cost of existing detection methods

We are doing this by:

  • Partnering with Federally Qualified Health Centers like Southern California’s DAP Health to improve their screening rates, data collection, and staff training – learn more

  • Collaborating with over 190 organizations nationwide to improve research and programs, as an American Cancer Society National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable Member – learn more

  • Advancing screening initiatives as a Grant Recipient of the Prevent Cancer Foundation – learn more

Vision

For everyone that’s at risk of developing CRC and anal cancers to take action. For all to feel empowered to get educated, talk with their doctors about their medical history, and get screened early.

How do we do this?

Companies like Coca-Cola have fun campaigns. Colorectal cancer screening doesn't. We’re focused on creating campaigns that are cheeky, fun, and inspire people into action.

Since it takes seven interactions for a consumer to internalize a marketing message (Some Marketing Expert, Somewhere), Cheeky Charity wants its campaign to be the amplest, sexiest, catchiest annual reminder on the planet. So catchy, you'll have no choice but to get a colorectal screening.

Values

Equality

We value every person's life and well-being on this planet.

Fun

We believe the way to make a sustainable impact is to enjoy the process and enable others to enjoy the ride with us.

Inclusivity

We want everyone to feel safe to join our mission, whether clothed or au naturel.
