Our tailored support groups offer a nurturing environment for the gay community to connect, share experiences, and find strength in solidarity. 

Our sessions are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month:

  • 4 - 5pm PT (7 - 8pm ET) available nationally via Zoom

  • 6 - 7pm PT in-person at the Palm Springs, California LGBTQ Center of the Desert

What to expect:

  • Regular check-ins for our community to share updates, victories, challenges, and concerns

  • Topic discussions about treatment experiences, managing side effects, emotional support, nutrition, lifestyle changes, sexual health, stigma, and more

  • Resources that are specifically tailored to our LGBTQ+ community’s health and support needs

  • Guest speakers that include healthcare professionals, dietitians, mental health experts, and survivor advocates

  • Open forum that involves all members in engaging group discussion

  • Empowerment activities that engage in advocacy, community building, and resiliency

  • Welcome packet with guidelines, a confidentiality agreement, and an introduction to the group's purpose

  • Resource compilation with a continually updated list of medical, nutritional, and mental health support resources

  • LGBTQ+ specific resource list that focuses on health, advocacy, and community support

  • Activity suggestions and tips for stress management, mindfulness, and self-care
