Butts & Badges
A small pin became a trusted signal. In 2025, hundreds of people wore Cheeky pins as permission to talk about symptoms, screening, and butt health without embarrassment. Each pin sparks a dialogue that can lead to early screening, informed care, and reduced stigma. As part of this program, we distributed 1,000+ pins with educational material in 2025.
Butts & Badges is proudly supported by Natera.
2025 Participants Included:
Pride Awareness Events
Pride is a protest, a party, and a platform for change. This year, Cheeky Charity had a presence at more than 45 Pride events across the country, interacting with more than 100,000 people. Our booths became hubs for curiosity and connection, where people could learn, laugh, and take the first step toward prevention.
Through our partnership with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), we expanded our presence to additional cities, bringing inclusive cancer prevention education directly to LGBTQ+ communities nationwide. Together, we equipped attendees with the knowledge and tools to take action not just for their own health, for for systemic change.
We proved through partnerships with local LGBTQ+ centers and healthcare providers that visibility can be vital and vibrant.
Pride Awareness Events were proudly sponsored by Natera in 2025.
LGBTQ+ Cancer Support Services
Cancer is isolating. Being LGBTQ+ in cancer care can make it even harder.
When someone is diagnosed with colorectal or anal cancer, they deserve to see themselves reflected in their care. Cheeky Charity’s support groups create affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ patients, survivors, and thrivers to connect, share openly, and heal alongside people who understand their experience.
In 2025, we hosted twice-monthly virtual support groups and launched new identity-specific meetups, including spaces for lesbian, gay, and pansexual participants, to expand access to meaningful peer support.
We also brought our community together in person at Fight Colorectal Cancer’s Call-on Congress, hosting an LGBTQ+ meetup that connected more than 30 advocates, survivors, and allies committed to visibility and change.
These meetups remind us that healing happens in community.
LGBTQ+ Cancer Needs Surveys
Every movement starts with listening.
In 2025, Cheeky Charity launched the LGBTQ+ Cancer Needs Surveys to understand how queer and trans communities experience cancer prevention, screening, and care. For too long, LGBTQ+ voices have been missing from research. Without data, inequities remain invisible.
This work was not built in isolation. The surveys were developed in partnership with community voices who helped shape the questions, language, and outreach strategy. Their insight ensured the survey reflected real experiences
Together, we are reaching people where they are and asking questions that have never been asked before. The data collected will drive more inclusive healthcare practices, strengthen advocacy, and help push policy forward.
The LGBTQ+ Cancer Needs Survey was proudly sponsored by Exact Sciences in 2025.
Version 2 is expected in 2026.
Education & Resource Distribution
Education is one of the most powerful tools in cancer prevention, but only if it reaches the people who need it most.
In 2025, Cheeky Charity focused on getting cancer education to clinics and into the community itself. From Pride festivals and health fairs to LGBTQ+ community centers and grassroots events, we met people where they already feel safe and seen.
As a proud member of CenterLink, the national network of more than 350 LGBTQ+ centers, we were able to build meaningful relationships with organizations across the country to place affirming, inclusive cancer education directly into community spaces.
In 2025, we distributed more than 45,000 educational and awareness materials nationwide.
