Thank you for volunteering at Pride 2024!

Cheeky Charity is committed to facilitating colorectal cancer (CRC) awareness & support to the LGBTQ+ community in your area.

As a Pride 2024 volunteer, you’ll help us educate people about CRC statistics, risk factors, symptoms, and resources for screening / treatment / support… all in a ‘cheeky’ style that creates levity in order to break down barriers and facilitate conversation.

And we’ve got supplies to help you do it! Browse our products below and fill out our Cheeky Pride Form to let us know which items you’d like.

Joining with partners nationwide, we're elevating colorectal cancer awareness at Pride events throughout 2024, focusing on the LGBTQ+ community.

Our mission:
To champion CRC prevention, early detection & health empowerment in the LGBTQ+ community through nationwide collaboration & advocacy.

This initiative calls on everyone, from local volunteers to national organizations, to unite, share resources, and amplify our voice. Together, we're pushing for greater public awareness and early detection.

  • This initiative is a series of coordinated efforts set to unfold at Pride events throughout 2024. Depending on the level of engagement in a particular city, we aim to leverage these gatherings as a platform to host:

Standalone Booths: Establish CRC awareness booths for direct engagement and to inform Pride participants about CRC risks and preventive measures.

Partnerships with Healthcare Entities: Collaborate with local healthcare and/or community organizations to share resources and information, supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in accessing vital health resources and screening services.

Volunteer Mobilization: Utilize our volunteers to work within the booths of our healthcare partners, advocating for comprehensive health care that addresses the specific needs of the LGBTQ+ community.

Media Engagement: Use our united front to attract news and media attention, amplifying the conversation around colorectal cancer in the LGBTQ+ community.

Unified Messaging: Consolidate our efforts to present a coherent, powerful message on the importance of colorectal cancer awareness and early detection.

  • Our initiative is gaining momentum, bringing together a diverse array of partners (including leading colorectal organizations, healthcare providers, community groups) and engaging corporate sponsors from sectors like wellness, financial services, and more.

By partnering with us, you'll be featured as a key contributor in a broad network of allies, each amplifying the message that health equity and proactive care are paramount.

  • We are set to make meaningful strides in:

Educational Reach: Disseminating tailored health information that resonates with the unique narratives of the LGBTQ+ community.

Actionable Change: Encouraging preventive measures and regular screenings, with a focus on mitigating the risks of late detection.

Supportive Fundraising: Raising funds to assist with screening costs, ensuring financial barriers do not hinder access to necessary care.

Empowered Advocacy: Providing resources for individuals to navigate healthcare systems confidently, championing their rights to comprehensive care.

  • We recognize the unique strengths each organization brings to the table and are committed to fostering partnerships that honor this diversity. We are eager to collaborate in several key areas:

Financial or In-Kind Support: Through sponsorship or in-kind contributions, you can bolster the infrastructure of our mission.

Event Participation: Engage your community to stand with us at Pride events in order to visibly champion our shared cause.

Resource Sharing: Your wealth of educational content, medical expertise, and promotional materials can greatly enhance the campaign's educational outreach.

Unified Show of Support: As a partner, your organization's name will be included in a comprehensive list. This collective display aims to not only recognize each contributor but also to draw significant attention to our campaign and the importance of colorectal cancer awareness within the LGBTQ+ community.

  • By joining us, you commit to transforming the health landscape for the LGBTQ+ community. We will proudly display our partnership network, illustrating a united commitment to health, inclusivity, and well-being for all.
